Thanks Marty for reminding me the advantage of flat glass !
I think like most of my fleet, original is the way to go, for preservation and expediency; its only original once !
May have to sell the 100E as is as I have far too many "irons in the fire" and the 1937 Oldsmobile Straight 8 should get preference given it's an Australian Body and the 4th off the line and I was given it complete, along with 1937 Vitreous Enamel 5 digit Licence plates, too many years ago to confess! All Ive done in all those years was rebuild the Engine without re-installing, and fit 4 new tyres. The engine purred at 200 rpm at idle !
The Prefect 100E has had a fully reco engine fitted and was abandoned even before I got the Olds due to a failure of Clutch or Gbox or both. I dont believe the engine has seen an more than an hour's work! Possibly the hit in the rear may have precipitated its abandonment ?
