That vent looks like Dave Garage vent ! I have heaps of the wanted round vents with angled fins. Looking for long thin screen vents if you see any... I've got another scan of the heater switch cover, I think it came up better and with both pins . The other is a tacho dash bezel which could need a little refining they'll be emailed your way one day . My RS mate said I can pilfer his dash to scan . The trick is to sit it on shot glasses on the turntable and scan it on different orientations .

do you want one some to scan? I can take mine out and send them , otherwise I might possibly be able to find some mk2's and can ask around here.

A hoist would be grand! I'm on the hunt for a mid rise scissor hoist, small enough for a double garage and gives easier access for suspension, front and back work.

a mate at work bought the Tuff Lift scissor version a couple of months ago, and has been very happy with it. Came with mobile kit so you can also roll it out of the way, and didnt need anything special conc wise. Delivery was on a tilt tray, and you bolt it together yourself. it was still aprox $1800-$2K from memory, but I think would be ideal for normal sedans. Not sure how it would go with a 6.2L Supercharged RAM, lucky I dont have one.

Speaking of 3D Printing, I would love for someone to come up with something for this area, It's screaming out for a pocket or cover.

deano Drew, the garage is full of toys collected by an old man now. Not sure if my back would let me get back on the sailboards, and there's a BloKart landyacht in there somewhere, which is great fun down the beach in a blow. Tuffs were what we couldn't afford as kids, picked up at swapmeets so it was good to do up the odd BMX here and there.
Yes Deano we could never afford the Tuff wheels either, only Kmart special bikes for us. I got right into building and collecting them 20 odd years ago when I was snowed under with a life and a mortgage. It was cheap fun at the time and I lived near work so used to ride a different bike every day. I sold them off when I started building the RS and made a mint. I've only got one left now, the holy grail of the Dragsters, a 5 speed, Indi 500 Oddball. Cars coming along nicely, great to see talk of 3D printing, beyong my caveman computing skills but nice to think some of these hard to get parts will become available again.

^^ that is a beast Drew, I've never seen one before. 5 speed, and the biggest rear reflector in history. A pocket or cover would not be too hard to draw up, depending ont he goal. I was thinking of including some netting pouches in the rear sides of the van, just for odds and sodds. I got 2 elastic nets from Ali for about $10, but didnt take note of the dimensions. When they came, you could not even hold a pack of Winnie blues with them. Minor progress despite the temps (1 degree today):crossmember is out and cleaned up

got the bearings, steering arms and wheel studs fitted.. and then realised Escort disk to hub mounting bolts are different to Capri... so that ended making up the legs for now. Another order to Rally Design gave me the opportunity to buy a few more goodies, including something I always wanted that every aspiring boy racer/rally car should have... (still being shipped)

Disc to hub mounting bolts? I must be a bit dense as I'm not catching what you mean there.

heads up to everyone else, Marty and I email regularly discussing bargains on the interwebs, and generally chewing the fat and solving the worlds probs. close, but its none of those exactly. How does Ali express sell an item for $8 and freight it, and it costs 88 pounds for a basic order from UK Burton power or the like? Was quoted 45 pounds for 2 seatbelts, which is harsh when they cost 29 pounds for the pair (securon universal). Floating disk? This is still abudget build Mark! :) Hope the car comes back soon! Have you seen how much you can pay for a floating disk rear Atlas with all the goodies?
