You'll need to weld the ratchet so it's a fixie directy onto the rotisserie without the tuff.. I've never bothered as the balance is usually good on my rotisserie . Excellent you've got the shrinky coming, the seller must be wondering why he sold 2x within an hr lol, just need Mark to buy one and we get commission hehe My cousin had a Landy 110 td , when he broke up with his misso he went back to the UK and took the Landy with him ! He sold it while there and made a king profit, now he's come back to aus hunting for another one

Marty, Ive stopped at the bead roller (so far). Oh, and the shears. Your a bad influence! I would be interested to see the shrinker at work, should be some stuff on YT. As for the Landy, like everything now they have gone a bit nutso price wise.

Sorry Mark ‼️ hehe. I seen a yt vid where some Giza had a C shape and did a bead roll, then another bead roll, some shrinking, by now it was a coil spring, then he bead roll again, more shrink and right there he made a flared arch for a drift car thing... Impressed me !

I chopped out the passenger upper floor today, and the shape for the wok as Marty calls it. This looks like it'd go in ok, suprisingly. Question though. The upper floor pan has a dogleg rib pressed in (sorry should have taken a snap) which would be good to replicate. Its about 1.5 inches wide, and maybe 6"from memory. Is it possible (or worth) trying to make a timber matching form to press between, in the vice? or do you just belt the bejesus out of it with a ballpein (I dont have a press as such) and try to dress it afterwards? One of the threads had these stampings done at home by someone much smarter than I. Dads Landrover was great, series2 short wheel base, with holden engines 283? was the last one. Oh, and a rover 90 diff for a few extra on the hwy.

I know of that dogleg pressed rib your talking of .. If you can't make as replica, try to smooth out away where your new panel starts, if done tidily no one will know any different. Had a thought, if you can make a cad template of the wok, which means trimming and taping to get the curve you can sacrifice that instead of the panel, then transfer the shape to the metal. From what I reckon on installing it/them is the tunnel side stays as the original one but the outer edge swings inwards removing a bit of the side kick panel which will give the clearance for bigger tyres, am I in the right track ?

very much the right track. On the firewall side, only a small fillet is needed to extend the wok curve in correctly to the existing floor sheet. On the kick panel side, the whole corner ends up being further úp and back', making the tub size larger. Poor passenger though. That will get rid of 1/2 my good work though, seems funning fixing the floor just to chop it back out. A neat flat panel probably is going to look less noticeable than a bodgy pressed rib. This afternoons challenge then is to concentrate a bit an do a half decent job, not just spotwelds.

Ok, since youse have arksed. I would have preferred to only show the 'after's, welding job for the wok isnt still too flash, but getting there. After a few judicious tacks, I trimmed outside the wok leaving a flange to fold back in. Not much of the inner sidewall gets left, especially down towards the bottom, just enough to secure the lower front guard edge though. The upper floor ended up just a flat panel, no pressing, and I'll leave that unit working in the engine bay. Someone has dented the tunnel front lip with a sledge hammer on the passenger side, possibly to open up and allow a larger gbox, so the tunnel needs cosmetics also. Plan for the rest of this weeknight is just to run over everything done on this side, and hopefully drag the whole thing out on the weekend for a flip around, so drivers side can start. Once braced abit, we'll chop out Martys bits for sending off.

That's a big intrusion into the foot well, what purpose does it serve? What do they call this panel? (please don't say a 'wok')

Marty christened it a wok in an above post, inner wing bowl to be technical maybe? Its a magnum panel (or copy) from SMCKA, and is meant to allow you to fit 15's, and still have a turning lock. Since i've never seen a van with bubbles firsthand and the wheels you need, I dont know if they are really mandatory, but since its likely to have 15x7 and some offset, for the drama of fitting I figured why not. Plus if I even wanted to drift the van, some good lock should be possible... :). https://www.smckaperformance.com.au/product/esc-mk1-mk2-inner-wing-bowl-15-inch-per-pair/ Bonus is it also discourages the kids/missus from coming in the van.No way that will ever happen anyhow, no aircond, leather or heated seats, smelly pinto etc. Wasnt concerned about the impact on footwell, so long as the drivers side pedals still function. My youtube feed is giving this crazy stance car setups with extreme negative camber and stretched tyres after looking for wheels and offset info. It must have been reading my mind, as this would really make the van get noticed. Still reminds me of when your little brother got your favourite hot wheels and bent the axles up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48xZ6Iuq05Y

Who needs yt when driving home from work today I was followed by a ba falcon XR something, bonnet bulge and front camber leaning at the 2oclock angle and were stretched tyres on Simmons , looked like 8s on the front, maybe 9s with 195s squeezed on , rears were maybe 12s with 215s , this car hated bumps , was quite comical to watch him dodge minor road undulations do the tyres don't shred on the guards....

ok Marty will do.(you want more pics of bubble arches?.. ) And confession for those who saw, I posted my last update on Tuesday in Martys thread due to old age, and deleted out of embarrassment. Have swapped the van around on the weekend, to start all over again. This meant taking the Capri for a spin to get the front of the shed clear. It's still a hoot to drive. 70's Pastel blue gets the girls in, blokes walking their dogs hear the extractors and Webber sucking away, and a couple of kids just wanted me to spin the wheels as I took off.Not happening kids. I got some more parts come in from Peter Lytton's thread, lots of seals plus a great repro RS 4 spoke wheel wheel centre. The plan is to paint up a non gen 4 spoke steering wheel thats on the Capri currently and make my own fake RS one and put that on the van. Would be more entertaining with photos, so will post on the next one. I'm now also the proud owner of a Marty endorsed Shrinker stretcher, which has arrived too. Didnt have the you beaut rotisserie mount and rose jointed foot peddle though, must be on back order I reckon...
