Australian RS2000 recliner knob removal info wanted

I am hoping for some help on how to remove the recliner knob form an Australian RS2000 Scheel seat, as also used on the Australian Ford Falcon Cobra, then later a fairly similar seat for the HDT Brock Commodores
The Australian RS2000 seats are different from the UK RS2000, which were Recaro it seems, but probably similar to other Scheel 203 90018 models?
I have one early seat, with the lower tilt control, (unlike the photo) and the recliner knob has broken off, by the PO, and I don't want this to happen to my next one.
I suspect it pulls straight off in theory but want to check first.
Also, any change with the original Scheels and the ASS 203 seats?  My second seat is the later ASS 203 seat. Does anyone know if there are any differences at all ? Mine has larger side bolsters, which blends well as this is the drivers one, otherwise seems the same from a quick look
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Patrick

Have you tried contacting Scheel Australia? Looks like their website is down and they've moved to facetube but the phone numbers still up there. They still sell a few bits for these aswell.

    Patrick,
They do pull off but are tight, especially after 40+ years.
To the best of my memory (excuse me as I think only 2 doors versions should exist) the 4 doors had them at the bottom and the 2 doors half way up the backrest? Can't remember if they were the same knob though.
I have made a couple out of ~5mm aluminium plate, as a tight fit and whacked (literally) them on with epoxy. Work well and the plastic surround shroud will unscrew and come off without having to remove the knob.

About a year ago there was someone selling repo bits for Scheels. Found this link below. Price is getting close to that **** in WA. Peter Lytton doesn't seem to be around anymore (can't contact him) he was doing all this stuff and redid the wrap on an RS wheel for me, perfect.

Global trim sold me a set of seat spacers and rails for my Scheels. Good to deal with and knowledgable, Albury/ Wodonga, if my memory serves me correctly. Specialises in Scheels, refurbs and sells them. Mine came from a 2nd hand set so not too expensive.
    Cheers, Len

    Thanks guys
And Mark, I might try something along those lines, a tight fit and epoxy
Searching the net came up with nothing, but I did find this on ebay UK
LAND ROVER GENUINE FRICTION DISC SEAT RECLINE KNOB MWC9707
Seems the same principle, a spring is all that holds it in place
I seem to have the spring, not the plastic knob
By the way, I didn't see how to insert the ebay spring photo
    thanks again
