mk1 capri strut inserts

can somebody tell me what shock  inserts i can use for mk1 capri  struts im fitting some to the mk1 escort just for cruising no race or anything like that for now as i will convert to coil overs later down the line with a newer hp engine .
 
this is just to get it on the road for a while untill i get new engine 
 
i have seen these are they right for the capri struts 51mm tubes

    I'm not really up to speed on 4cyl and V6 crossover for suspension, I'm sure a few of the Capri guys on here could help. I would not rely on the eBay compatibility chart.
    I have the Gaz inserts (see link below) and so far so good. I did have the majorly stuff up with spring heights with Burtons spinning all sorts of B%&**^t as to why the supposedly 1" lower springs made the car sit 2" higher than OEM????? Got that sorted now with the CS116 springs

    Don't know if they'll fit you strut but I can vouch for KYB shock absorbers.
     
    Have been using them for years and consider them the best bang for buck shockers on the market.
     
    Yes, you can get better, but you will pay for it.

    cheers boys..  only thing that sucks with capris and escorts etc is most of the good bits are in the uk . 
     
    tried to get some repair panels when i did my capri most were out of stock so had to go uk . now its dejavu  again nobody has any escort repair panels or any parts in stock these days all the common parts  are all on back order. .  so uk again it is .  my next one car is going to be ausssie built  commo

    That's a shame.  It was probably 5 years ago but kept the part number in my file.  Be careful with dia of the tops.  Some of the UK ones have larger dia than ours and they don't fit through the spring mount holes.

    I just had a look at the yesterford catalogue.  They have a warning about the hole size so looks like they are selling the UK ones. Might not fit your strut tops.
