Strut tops Mk1 Escort
Would anyone have a great pair of strut tops like the ones pictured? I want to go back to standard ones and remove the roller type fitted for the roadworthy. Or where is the best place to get them from? I didn’t think they were that bad but may as well fit new ones.

Hi Deano,
Not yet, I was hoping someone might have some lying around but will contact Mike tmz and order a pair. It will let me remove the other roller ones which will lower the car back down to what it was. Not sure if I have to remove the strut completely to fit them.

Are they the early 1100cc types? If so, I should have a couple you can have? Can check for you.

I have bearing type strut mounts on my Mk1 Escort which I want to remove as they have raised the car which I don’t like.
I have managed to get a pair of the strut tops on the right of the picture. (Thanks Haydn).
The ones of the left are the original tops removed to fit the bearing ones. My question is can I fit the ones on the right, which might be from a Capri.
If so will they also raise the the car due to their conical bottom and lower top? Also will the bolts from the bearing type fit the conical strut tops? I will also have to find a pair of collars for the top nut end Unless they are retained under the bearing type. Hope most of this makes sense. Don’t want to remove the struts only to put the car of the road waiting on parts.
