Ford Escort MK1 Auto Weber 32/32 Escort GT Carby Linkage Connection Needed Urgently

Please help me with either advice or the part: see attached photos: the photo with the shiny fitting is on the weber 32/32 and the dirty looking one is on the single throat downdraft formoco carby. It looks like I cannot remove the one from the formoco carby without destroying the butterfly shaft as it appears to be two pins that hold it in rather than the nut on the 32/32. I could try and remove it and fit it to the weber carby but I want to keep the original carby in one piece if I can. Suggestions or does somebody have the piece I am after please? This is out of an auto Mk1 Escort so it has the two cables coming into the carby linkage connection which will make it difficult to replace.

I went thru this dilemma some 25+yrs ago. The stock Carby linkage rod is zigzag shape and the GT/pinto carb link is straight with a 90° into the fitting. I went thru books and wreckers which were filled with escorts Capri cortina at that time to pick and choose. Easiest way is to get a mk2 escort rod and bkt that bolts to the intake.... If you are unlucky and have a cortina gt intake without bkt mountings you'll need to adapt a bkt(plate to reach and be strong as not to flex) from the tin rocker cover or Ally weld a thick plate to the intake and thread it for the bkt ..I went the rocker cover way , my 1700 Kent had a pinto carb but later went to a 40dfav V6 carb . Hope this helps

Thanks Martymexico. I have everything ready to go using the stock system and all I need is the bracket that can be threaded over the bolt to replace the zigzag version. I may have to either get one manufactured or manufacture one myself I am thinking. I do have the escort fuel manifold so the bracket bolts straight onto the 32/32 manifold. Is is just this lousy bracket that is in the photo...
