    An interesting video. He stated that he didn't know whether this Capri was built at Dagenham or up in the north, due to the fact that it had the 'Essex' V6. My understanding is that ALL UK built Capri's were built at Halewood, near Liverpool. He's a little confused me thinks, as the 'Essex' V6 engines were in fact built at Dagenham and them shipped to Halewood for fitting, as far as I'm aware. From November 1976, ALL Capri production was carried out in Cologne, West Germany, where the total German production exceeded UK production by nearly 4 times, Cologne, Germany = 1,524,407 compared to Halewood, UK = 398,440, a total of 1,922,847 Capri's of the Mk.1, 2 and 3 varieties.

    Interesting video, a few niggling factual errors (e.g. v4 Pinto.... nah!).  But mildly entertaining none the less.
     
    Like all cars of that era, you did have to actually drive them, interact with them and respond to them to get the best out of them.  Modern stuff, whilst safer and faster and more efficient blah blah blah,  are a place where too often the driver is almost just a passenger.  Moderns are very forgiving having all that safety technology. 
     
    Just my thoughts.  I own some 1970s cars and enjoy the challenge they present every time you drive one. I'm saddened by the lack of (old-fashioned) 3-pedal cars available in the new car market, that actually require you to have some level of co-ordination and a feel for what is happening under you own rear end. 
     
    Must be old and be wearing my Diamond White tinted glasses. 
    Now where did I leave my slippers and comfy chair  ?  ........
