Fitting bonnet release cable

Hi guys ive fitted a bonnet release cable but it is pulling the outer cable when i pull the leaver and therefore not popping the bonnet. Any hints?

    Not entirely familiar with the Capri system but have you fitted the clamp at the latch end?

    Yep clamp thing at the front is done up, i dont know why the whole outer casing is moving and not the inner cable.

    There is a clip in the puller handle mechanism which holds the cable outer casing in place. If this isn't in place or not installed correctly the outer casing will move rather than the cable resulting in no bonnet release.
