Alternator wiring question

After rebuilding motor (1978 Escort 2lt Pinto) I am up to installing the standard lucas 15 ACR 2D alternator.  As part of the wiring was removed by someone else I was wondering what the connections are for. The positive is obviously the battery connection but there are two other plugs.  One says F and IND the other Aux.  I guess the F is the field wire to the ignition light but can someone tell me what the IND  and  AUX (auxiliary ?) connection is for.
Regards
Bob

I'm presuming there is no pin for the F? Only the IND?

+ large pin to Battery positive
IND is indicator - to charge light
AUX is generally not used. Auxiliary will be permanently +, ie bridged to Bat +, used for items requiring constant.

If the F pin is there it will be externally regulated.

    Hope it helps,
