Capri GT dash fitment into poverty pack Capri.

Hi,

Just fitting a GT 6 Dial gauge cluster into a standard 1600 4cyl 2x dials car,  cannot work out the volt gauge wiring, or perhaps I have a dead gauge, ran a wire of rear positive alternator, nothing worked?.

Any ideas.

Thanks  Ben.

get a wiring diagram and look at what feeds you need, most manuals show Deluxe vs GT / XL.  There is a regulator in the back of a GT dash, not sure if the deluxe has this

Also check suspect  Guage on its own direct to a known good battery out and away from car's circuitry.
Both test wires must first be hard wired to pos a neg of Guage and one end to battery post. Use remaining 4th end as on off switch to 2nd battery post.
