Just a few of my daily

yes yes yes... it's a Holden... so sue me.

I picked it up for a cool $10,000. It's a complete base model Executive, doesn't even have ABS. It only has one airbag... yet, because it was a Western Power company car, it has Holden genuine cruise control.

I like cruise control. I'm making a homemade electronic supercharger type thing for it as I've changed the standard air filter for a pod setup and replaced the air temp sensor with an appropriate resistor.

I am aware that most electronic superchargers produce around 800CFM of airflow, but the 120mm (12cm) 12VDC computer case fan I've sourced produces a whopping 220CFM!!! (Trust me, that's amazing for a 12VDC computer fan) The fan itself runs around 65dB, so it's louder than human conversation.... then again, so is the engine bay when the airconditioner is turned on.

enough chat... now for the pictures.

"Operation not Allowed"... hmm...
I hope people don't mind Imageshack... the forum doesn't seem to want to work.

1st. This sticker is a joke from the web series, Red vs Blue. I don't have enough time to explain it.

2nd. My daily driver, a 98 VT Commodore V6. Behind the fence and on bricks, my rusting Mk1 Escort.

3rd. Me being artistic. The headlight covers actually look pretty good at night when the lights are on.

4th. Finally, I want to replace the tailights with VT Series 2 ones, as they have clear indicator lenses instead of these hideous sore thumb orange ones... I've already got silver indicator bulbs, I've got a set in the headlamp assemblies. They're quite bright and look good if you've been looking at buying some...

Hope they worked.

Oh, here's a link to the fan.

    http://www.pccasegear.com.au/prod2431.htm

Delivered to my door, it cost me $50. If you're thinking about doing something similar, you'd want to look into getting a fan adapter too. Because this fan is 120mm in diametre, it's larger than most pod filter and airflow metre systems.
    http://www.pccasegear.com.au/prod561.htm
    You'll want 2 of those.

To help make the "getto electronic supercharger" more air and water tight, you'd be looking to get some silicone spacers... or as they call them, siliceous sheets.
    http://www.pccasegear.com.au/prod1050.htm

Then, once you've got those, you want to go down to supercheap autos and pick up 2 air filter adapter brackets. They're the things that are a small metal tube that will fit a pod filter to and has a flat plate on one end that has four holes through it for mounting to the airflow meter....

With these, you want to attach them to the 80mm side of the 120mm-80mm adapters so that the rubber air hose and pod filter can attach over the ends..

I'll take pictures of the monster I've created later tonight. [:x)]

    Am i missing something here?

A 12v fan capable of flowing 220cfm stuck in the middle of an
intake system that can probably flow maybe 4 or 500 cfm ?

Would this not be a huge restriction?

Even thought it is a Holden maybe the designers new what they wee doing
