Perhaps try googling 'Ford Capri Jack', plenty to choose from there.

    Current ride:
    '83 Mk.3 Capri, 2.8i, 5-spd

They all look like mk3 jacks not mk1 trying to ascertain if I have an original or not

If you put a pic up I can tell you if it’s correct. I can’t post pics 99% of the time but will try. It goes in the round hole at the side and jacks the whole side of the car up.

Btad, you might need to resize pictures to a smaller file size before trying to upload, maybe the issue?

If you pm me your number I will send a pic tomorrow. I’ve tried now 3 hours to post a picture. You can’t resize an iPhone picture as far as I know. I don’t use the new format either. It just makes it harder to do anything on this forum now.

A tip for iPhone pics that works for me, if you screenshot the picture, the screenshot should be much smaller and should make it much easier to post has always worked for me.
Ill take a pic of the jack that came with my capri and post it here, appears to be original.
    Cheers

Guessing this is both types that they came with?
Knew I had one ratchet type and just found the other wind one

The winding one appears to be the earlier design. Maybe 69,70 models, ratchet type looks more refined and later so I would say 71,72

Thanks for that. The one I have is the ratchet type and it has come from a 71 so looks like it is the original

Just a bit more info ive found, the wind type is the brand metallifacture, jacks of this brand were used with Fords in the UK, makes me think it was used on earlier model Capris ('69/'70).

Havent found any info on the rachet type, mine hasnt got any brand markings that i can see.
    Cheers
