Bonnet catch striker plate wanted

Hi, I'm after a bonnet safety catch striker plate for my V6. This is the plate that bolts to the front panel and provides a secondary catch for the bonnet. If anyone has one lying around or on a parts car somewhere I would love to hear from you and do a deal!!

I don't have access to an Escort to compare but from what I can see from photos on the internet they look the same.

Only very early capris had a visible striker plate bolted to the top of the slam, most have a reinforcement spot welded under the hole in the slam panel

Capri The car I always promised myself

Thanks for the info. My car is a 09/70, do you think it should have the striker plate? There are two screw holes next to the large hole in the slam panel where the plate would mount. I'm going through a list if jobs to do to get the car right for Capriciation, don't want to get picked on!!!! (just joking)
