I'm keen to know the answer to this one too. I'd like a set of 15x7's to give me more tyre choice than my current 14x7 Panasports which I've had for 10+ years

I am currently looking into wheels too.....how do the panasports stack up vs minilite and compomotive?
There are so many doing that ML style nowadays....even Watanabe and Enkei do them (and arguably tastier styling too!)
    Its hard to choose!

i have not seen any weights for panasports, but from what i have seen from the minilites and compomotives they look about as heavy as boat anchors... 7.3kgs per rim for a 15x7!

My spare 14x7 Panasport is 6.2kgs. This is for the road wheel version, not the lighter 'not for road use' stamped version.

Road wheels are always going to be kinda heavy, being made to drive up gutters and through potholes while carrying the family etc.. when i said minilites before i was looking at the superlites weights. different wheels entirely. if we are talking race wheels then:

minilites in proper forged magnesium 15x7 are 4.76kgs and in 14x6 are 4.54kgs.
compomotive in cast alloy are around the 8.5-9.5kgs for 15x7 depending on specific style and about 1kg less for 14x6.
    Panasport in cast is about 7.2kgs for a 15x7 and 6.4kgs for a 14x6
    Superlights in a billet wheel are 6.26 for a 15x7 and 3.99kgs for a 14x6,  8.57kgs and 6.26kgs for cast respectively.

here is a good file for reference on wheel weights. this is where i got my data.
of course manufacturers often dont advertise their weights so im sure that places like panasport will make you a wheel from a billet that will be lighter than their advertised cast type roady wheels.
