Here is the diagram for the 3000gt. We don’t have this plug. It’s more a matter of the right information especially when it comes to a sensitive part like the electrics.

Its the connector plug at the front connecting the two looms together. Bet it’s only got five wires and missing the Brown.

Thanks Ron. Maybe a reason we have more electrical issues than overseas cars. Also black and brown look the same with road grime so I’m sure a fair few would have been hooked up incorrectly as well if only for a moment. Also flat battery would cause loss of power passenger side meaning more heat being created adding to melted wires from the lack of power/current.

That’s an Earth feed. Many would think or confuse for +ve Brown. If I’m correct the alternator charge to battery goes right through the dash loom and out passenger side to battery. When really it should go through front plug straight to battery.
Don’t know why Ford Australia did this. Also I have several looms and one must be from the earliest loom available so feb or so 1970. All looms regardless of age are like it even my 1972 CK17ME car.
Wondering how hard it would be to add the Brown through the plug as it’s almost got a hole their to add it.

And it’s got a black plug.
