Hey everyone! Hopefully we are still using this forum?? or are the FB groups where we all are now? A couple of questions if anyone can help. In regards to the "semi gloss" black paint used, is that just a standard Ford matte/semi gloss colour used? I would like to give my painter that info if possible. Areas of concern are the Rear panel, bonnet, GT stripes, door frames etc Cheers, Kris

There is also this thread https://www.classic-ford.org/cfp/tm.aspx?m=92617 There was one where flat vs satin vs matt was discussed at length with a few photos but I cant find it, maybe someone else knows. Let's hope FB doesn't completely take over, the great thing about here is the wealth of knowledge that can be searched.

Thanks heaps guys @GTV6 @PartTimeMK2 I noticed that I commented on one of the posts anyways haha. I will use satin for all the blackout bits, including the sills. I also had a blackout valance, which looked awesome, but I will vinyl wrap that part. Bonnet and GT stripes will be painted on and not vinyl.

You're welcome. There is also threads here that have the correct dimensions for the bonnet blackout. There is subtle angles that make all the difference.

Thanks for that. I’ve been shown few different coloured centres not with blue circle Another from the forum has there’s black button looks to be small gold circle. Buttons maybe a change on model year and so on Maybe some one knows the difference. The belts in my car didn’t have chrome I purchased on line one like yours. Already three different

It seems only the good ones are in the rear. With the front ones being a boring black kind .

Reeni It’s those black belts I would like to buy if yourself or others have for sale. Cash and trade available
If you're going to re-web the belts which is a good idea and just need the buckles and hardware expand your search to Mk2 Escort, XC Falcon and TD Cortina, there may also be others of that era that use the same hardware. While you're at it treat them to some new stickers. FORD LATE XB XC FALCON SEAT BELT LOGO DECAL SET SUIT ZG FAIRLANE GT FAIRMONT | eBay

I used these guys a few years back. Not cheap but excellent work and they refurbished and used my original buckles. They have lots of old bits they accumulate too to use as donors. https://seatbeltsolutions.com.au/
