Yellow Glow is a classic Ford colour.
Should really be pleasing when complete.
I wonder sometimes who picked colours and why some were common across the range of Ford cars both Aussie built and of English origin?

I'm obviously biased, but Yellow Glo is the pick of the yellows they used. Always been happy that mine is yellow.

........  and so you should be ! ........  it's your choice that matters and keeping it original colour is an extra bonus !

I've been led to believe most of the colours in the vast choice seen here in the "Build Your Car" section, are exclusively Australian, and seen on Capri, Escort, Cortina and Falcon.  It seems to be verified by the few times I checked the UK Colour Charts and not seen any/many of the bright in-your-face diverse colours we have here in Oz

agreed, thats a great period color and suits the Capri well.
Funny that Aus gets the bright colors, and UK the drab.
Must be to match the weather, we get blue skies:

I love this blue, possibly my favourite of all the colours.

Kris nice to see you haven’t given up on your cars restoration.
Mine is also 12/71 build lp23862
Is your number higher or lower?
Looking at your parts painted see the tail shaft wasn’t there.
Is it a single piece or two pieces?
You didn’t mention if you were painting acrylic?

Its kicking along, but won't be giving up thats for sure!
Tail shaft and gearbox are the only bits that aren't powercoated yet.
Mine is a solid tailshaft, but I think I remember the family mentioning that the 2 piece was replaced early on.
I'm pretty sure the painter uses Enamel paint, I know he uses the Sikken brand.

18 cars painted in that colour in 1971?
Or is that over the years of all models of Capri. Or just 3000gt
We also used same paint brand.
How long befor you have it painted can’t wait to see it

Yep just 18 V6 painted in Yellow Glo for '71.

I hoping within 6months I will have it back at home for reassemble. Covid added quite a number of months to the body work.

I cant see that too many people would choose saddle or red interior to go with yellow, so my guess is that its option 54 that makes it a very rare 1 of 1, and even rarer being a one owner.  Awesome!

Kris this high back seat you talk about should it not be an option listed?
Mine was built at the end of December 1971 and doesn’t have high back seats. Do you or your family stilll have the original order and purchase documents?

Oh yeah I missed that, and the driving lights.  Nice set of options!

No order documents, was that even a thing in 1971? I have the sale manuals and workshop manual though.

An orange 1970 4 cylinder was traded in and this once was "custom" ordered through the dealer (which we used many times for company and family cars) so it would have been a walk in over the counter order.

Here’s an original it’s pink paper
Flash has turned it white.
I’m only guessing all your added options should have been wrote down.
The trade in and any money given as a deposit. Copy may have also most likely been sent to the factory to start your custom build.
