I brought this one the other day - 10k. It's actually very clean - never been hit and no. Rust. Originally vermillion fire. 😢 The paint is too good to strip so I'll bolt the rest of the stuff on and joy..

Yeah not to keen on the bonnet but love the blue . Reminds me of my favourite - imperial blue . Looks a clean car .

Hi Spud, A question re the Commodore fuel pump unit you are using, i'm looking to do the same conversion. Are you using the fuel gauge sender on the Commodore pump or sticking with the Capri one? Cheers, Steve

spud15 Ive fitted off the vacuum pump - it works very well!
Spud. Did you use a vacuum switch on the Hella pump?

I had problems with the generic vacuum switch. Changed over to one of these and very adjustable https://au.rs-online.com/web/p/pressure-vacuum-switches/2895513/ Normally closed and operates a relay. Make sure you use a one way valve between the pump and the vacuum switch/booster otherwise it just spins the pump backwards when the pump turns off. I used a Festo H-QS-8 but there are plenty of other types.
