Autometer gauge for mk1 escort

G’day fellas, just wondering if anyone has swapped out the stock gauges for autometer ones?
And if so, what was the process?

Cheers, Jeremy

To add, a standard 2 dial dash, not 6.

Hi Mustard, it wouldnt be a worry but you will just have to potentially adjust wiring to suit.

I have removed the standard gauges and installed Racetech 80mm gauges in place.

If you go to electronic speedo etc you will need to add the sensor for that as well.

    Thanks,
    Kieran

Make sure the gauge and whatever you're measuring- fuel etc sender are compatible - same ohms rating- or your readings will be all over the shop.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys!

My initial plan was to use the combo gauges from autometer but I’ll have a look at The racetech stuff and make sure all the technical stuff lines up as far as wiring and resistance values.

    Cheers, Jeremy.
