MK 1 SR20DET

g'day all,

New starter but this is what ive got:

Vehicle: 1975 Mk 1 Escort

List of current upgrades and modifications.

Mechanicals:


Engine:

- Nissan SR20DET RPS13 Redtop Engine T25 Garrett turbo
ECU, wiring looms, Nissan 5 speed alloy gearbox
- Greddy style alloy intake manifold
- 304 SS exhaust manifold
- 304 SS Dump pipe
- 5 puck competition clutch plate and HD clutch pressure plate
- Modified Harmonic balancer
- Modified wiring looms
- Thermo-flex hoses
- Stainless steel intercooler pipe work
- PWR core tube and fin alloy intercooler
- GFB Plumb back Blow off valve
- SS T bolt clamps
- Alloy core radiator
- Autometer thermal switch
- Twin 10 inch thermo-fans
- Alloy radiator overflow tank
- Iridium spark plugs
- New induction/exhaust gaskets
- New silicon emissions tubing
- Pedal box modified from mechanical to hydraulic clutch
- New clutch hydraulic master cylinder and flexible lines
- New clutch fluid reservoir
- New gearbox mounting bracket
- Stainless Steel gearshift lever modified to suit
- Modified radiator outlet
- Modified Turbo intake and outlet
- 180sx accelerator cable
- New silicon boost control tubing
- 304 SS 2.5 Inch exhaust system
- SS Catalytic converter
- Single piece drive shaft


Suspension:
- Restored 3 litre Capri front struts.
- New 185 pound front springs.
- New British single leaf rear 115 pound springs.
- 1 inch alloy lowering blocks at rear.
- Koni adjustable front and rear shocks absorbers.
- Restored Front sway bar.
- Handmade stainless steel strut brace.
- Kmac adjustable strut mounts.
- Alloy anti dive blocks at front sway bar.
- New wheels bearing front and axle rear bearings.
- New Neoprene bushes throughout.
-World Cup rally cross member and rigid mounts

Brakes:

- Up rated 9.5 inch ventilated front disk drake rotors.
- Volvo 144 front callipers (4 piston) fitted with expansion kit.
- Brake Bias pedal box (negates need for booster).
- New steel/flexible brake lines throughout.
- Up rated 9.5 inch rear drum brakes.
- All new brake cylinders, seals and reservoirs.

Wheels and tyres:
- New 13 x 5.5 inch Performance “Challenger” Alloy rims.
- All wheels fitted with Yokohama A509 (Rear)
and 536 (Front) tyres.

Interior:
- All new seat belts.
- Period Recaro front seats.
- All seats retrimmed in new vinyl and colour matched cloth.
- Sheet alloy door trims trimmed in new black vinyl.
- Alloy centre console
-New Autometer Electronic Speedometer
-New Autometer Temp gauge and sender
-New Autometer fuel level gauge
-New RCI Fuel cell and Stewart Warner sender unit
-New Alloy Surge Tank
-New Earls Fuel fittings
-New Bosch 044 EFI Fuel pump
-New Holley Blue primary fuel pump
-Alloy Tank brackets
-New SS 3/8 EFI fuel lines
- Stainless steel heater box with electric heater element.
- Alloy pedals.
- Period steering wheel.
- Internal differential breather filter.

Exterior:
- Bullet side mirrors.
- Alloy false fuel cap (Mk 2 Escort).
- RS 2000 round light grill and light housings.
- New indicator / glass lenses throughout.
- Rare “Rally Works” front indicator assemblies.(to be fitted)

Body:
- Original Mk 1 Escort 1975 coupe body with cross model (Mk 2) floor pan and suspension points.
- New paintwork internal and external. (Galaxy Blue )
- New Period RS 2000 body vinyl sticker kit.
- Heat mats and new body sound deadening.
- Rolled front and rear wheel arches.
- Toyota Supra gearbox tunnel, fully braced.
- All new Rare Spares rubber ware kit throughout.
- Stainless fasteners throughout

    Welcome to the site - quite an entrance!

    Anyway, love the colour, and the RS decals with the Aussie style alloys is unique in a very good way.

    I thought I recognised that car...
    I am Tim's mate Troy who showed him the forum.

    I hope I am not making too much of an assumption. There can't be too many people named Josh in Newcastle with a blue MK1 Escort with the SR20 conversion!

    Very nice work on the Escort. Hope the forum comes in handy for you.

    Yep im still with the SFCC. Associate member at the moment as the regs dont allow this engine mod. I'll show up on a club run one day. Just have to get the kids and wife off my back.
