MK2 Escort fuel pickup filter

Hey all,
 
Just wondering if anybody knows of somewhere in Australia you can buy new fuel pickup filters. Most places I have contacted either don't have anything or try to sell me the entire float and pickup for over $400, which I don't need. It's just the filter that's seen better days.
