Mki escort bonnet lock

Hi small ford family, after sending some parts away to get zinc coated not all of the parts have returned so I am looking for all the parts relating to the bonnet release spring,
The problem is it is an early model and the cable runs from the passenger side so the spring is the opposite to a R/h one, if anyone has a spring and the little bracket that holds it in place I would greatly appreciate you getting in touch if you have one to sell,
Also need the two screws that hold the channel for the window in the rear of the front door and 6 nuts that hold the tail lights and indicator assembly's in!
Cheers Paul

Whats wrong with these people that know how to get your money, but to hell with being responsible and diligent with your super rare parts ? ...... I hear this stupidity regularly.
I always write down every single part I give em and give them a copy with their signature......
If they don't like it TUFF! find another who does.  I'd rather have UNPLATED THAN LOST.
NUT & BOLT SHOP will have all you need already PLATED or in Stainless if plating looks thin, as far as Fasteners go

    Hi Bernie
I received a picture from them in the mail showing all the parts pre zinc coated and chromed, this was awesome as it pissed me off more as it reminded me of all the parts I had sent them that I had forgotten all about! At least it is a reference for what I need to replace!!!

Hi Paul, is that how the original escorts came out. If so ,my only suggestions would be source one from a left hand drive overseas or convert to one from a right hand and send through the normal way.
From my knowledge their not interchangeable but the slam panel has holes for both.
I did see on Capri World only two days ago someone selling a complete rhd setup fully chromed in England and postage would be nothing if it’s still available. If you think you’d go that way I’ll search for it.

Hi Wiggy, there is only one hole in the slam panel as it came with none so I drilled it out, I have a spring somewhere I think for a r/h one as well as the bracket for the inside problem is the car has been painted recently so would make a mess when welding the bracket on ☹️ I think the early Mk1 had the release on the left?
    Cheers Paul

In photos you have three holes. Top one is where the bonnet latch goes through and two lower down toward the front. Is one of these the hole you drilled out. You don’t need a bracket. The cable pull just attaches to the spring and the spring is held in place by the front clip. I’ll send a pic somehow bloody iPhone won’t put new pics up.
