Phillip Island Races

Any Melbourne members going to Phillip Island Races 9-10 March?  My brother has entered his GT 40 so looking to make the trip down there. I believe the Capri boys go there . Thought that I might catch up and say hello to any forum members that might be there. Cheers, Len

    Hi All,
This is a  shout-out for all forum members in Melbourne to try and get a little local knowledge on ways to get to the Island.  My local travel agent can get me to the airport ok, can only find a V line bus going through numerous stops down the Peninsula and on to the Island. Does anyone know of other options- using the Ferry for instance, local tour operators doing  trips there for the penguins etc. Do the Capri boys just drive there by the same means? Any links or advice would be welcome. Thanks, Len

    Hi all,
Got to the Historics last weekend , however my brother racing his GT40 was a non event, didn't get it fully completed in time. he recently bought an XY Phase 3 GTHO so took that instead. Took it out for Qualifying on the Friday while I was travelling down but had an engine problem and wasn't game to do any more , so didn't get to see it run- BUMMER!  Big shout out to the Capri boys, tried several times to catch up with you but couldn't seem to be there when they were> Got some pics of some georgeous Capris though.

Yes, makes the $15K I spent rebuilding my RS look a bit pitiful, but he has worked long and hard to be able to get these vehicles, I just want the chance to get a ride in them, hopefully next year when they are properly mechanically sorted. Len
