1971 Mk1 GT Capri ignition wiring help

Evening all, I am currently pulling my hair out trying to work out why the ignition coil has no supply. I have power to crank the starter and turn the motor over but nothing to the ignition coil.

Headlights work but I have no dash lights. Wipers don't work either but there is still a few switches to connect.

Looking at the wiring diagram it looks as though the power comes from the ignition switch and through the tacho?
Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Does a Capri have a ballast wire like an Escort does, hidden in the loom?

Cheers, Craig.

The pk/w wire from the tacho is the ballast resistor wire and changes to w/y.  Its is bypassed during cranking at which time coil power comes via the starter solenoid.

Headlights are on a different circuit as they also work when ign is off.  Wipers are on ign circuit.

Start with the connections at the back of the switch, they are known to melt.
