When I came here 15 years ago - there were many fantastic yards like this full of old cars, the price of scrap went up and 90 percent of them are now gone - what a shame....

IMAGINE THIS LOT strewn all over 5 acres (only 25% out of weather) and then being told you have 4 weekends to help yourself at $1 to $5 per piece before the bulldozers move in ! https://www.facebook.com/Balnarring-Pickers-Garage-Sale-385286805186350/ This is what happened several weeks ago in BALNARRING, MORNINGTON PENEINSULA !!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, but I had to make a pig of myself, knowing what wasnt taken would be BULLDOZED & TIPPED !

Brings back memories of here in Adelaide's northern suburbs we had loads of wrecker that had cars going back to 1930s ! One that i became a common sight at was Derby motor wreckers ...acres and acres of cars and rows of escorts, Capris and cortinas ...towards the end of the yard they done a $25 all can carry so my bro and i went there with his TF cortina wagon and trailer and pulled loads and loads of stuff. .Capri struts, door mirrors , diffs, glass, what ever we thought was going to rare in yrs to come ..we drove in the yard to load up and on exit they asked for $25 . A few weeks later the place was levelled and now a steel shop is sited there ironically...those great days are long gone.
