I haven't read the eBay listing, but it looks to me like the Capri was traded in, not that this is the purchase receipt for the Capri.

You can tell from the date of the transaction on the blue receipt (1972) and the "details of the vehicle traded" being the Capri itself. Would still be a great bit of ephemera for the owner of the car, if it survives.

Contacted the ephemera seller who can "see" all info.
He reckons what's happening here is...
    (Q)".....a 1969 Copper/Bronze Capri was being traded in for a new 1972 Silver Capri"(EQ)
I asked him to let me know if he can see the regio no of the 2nd Capri which is in his/our interest as it doubles his chances of a sale !

The SA seller on Ebay sent me this yesterday.................I think he's got his cars back to front as the chronological order of the licence plates would have the new 1972 car being RHU261 ?
    (Q)
"By the way I think it sold last night...but the rego of the trade in car is RHU 261 (possibly South Australian) and the new one is REA 928"
    (EQ)
Hopefully one of these regio numbers owners is in possession of this pertinent info !
