EBay Capri.

Managed to score a needle in a haystack recently from EBay. Someone in Melbourne was selling 6 V6 motors of various demise. I asked for the engine numbers a would you know it one matched one of my cars. I bought three to make the travel worthwhile. It's not great but looks still to have standard pistons and the crank etc is still installed. So it will be another numbers matching sometime (eventually) soon.

The guy I picked these up from is like a scrap metal car guy. He said he got them from a guy who had sold his Capri. He said that the guy had the original block but didn't sell it with the car. Crazy.

I took note of the numbers if anyone is looking for something specific. The blocks I'm looking for weren't among them sadly.

The other three are for sale. He listed them again after I bought mine but no one bid. He's in Wallan. Let me know if your interested and I'll see what I can do. They are all oval port motors though.

Thanks Wiggy..........any of them have the later uprated Cam Timing Gear of metal/fibre instead of the early all-fibre ?
What sort of money is he after ?
    cheers

He was selling at $300 per block. The engine numbers were shown in his listing.

He had 2 JE blocks, and the others were: CK17LP, CK17LC, and 2 CK17ME blocks, although 1 of these was hard to read in the photo, so may be CK17MB.
