Kent 1600 Oil Pump thread - Clockwise or Counter-clockwise?

Hi all,

A quick question; is the thread on the 1600 oil pump (where the filter attaches) clockwise to tighten or counter-clockwise? I've got a very stubborn filter at the moment and neither direction seems to yield results....

I seem to have misplaced all of my workshop manuals so the internet will provide the answer I'm sure!

Cheers,

    Hi Whooligan,

My thanks for the quick reply, I thought this was the case, but something at the back of my mind was telling me otherwise (perhaps the sump plug is counter-clockwise for tightening?). Nevertheless, I just bought a new oil pump, as the filter it truly seized on there....

    Thanks again!
