When we were teenagers, and into our twenties friends and I would always slow down and salute when we drove past the Homebush Assembly Plant. I am still local however rarely drive past these days.

Still remember the Ford Escort pictured on the large billboard out the front, and the addition/extensions at the front of the building so everyone could clearly see part of the assembly line from Parramatta Road.

I would love to find a big bulldozer and excavate the rear of the property. Plenty of rumours there lot's of "special development projects" buried on site especially below the newer additions at the rear.

.....what's the Homebush Plant being used for nowadays ?????  Archeological expedition in the Homebush property
may surface many interesting items one wonders.

Truth is it's unlikely anything would have been buried with care such as inside a "time capsule", sad to say.

    Hey BeeVee,

That's just me....on a good hair day....and an all over tan. Thank you for the compliment.

The site of the Ford Assembly Plant from what I understand is now a mixed industrial complex. The large factory has been segregated into smaller factory units.

The "time capsule/s" is a very large mass of concrete footings and foundations. So whatever was dropped into the large holes will live forever.

night pics look good, especially with the Capri style head lights in the second pic, mine match yours.

I often still see people parking their Falcons XY mainly on the grass outside Ford here in Geelong, for the obligatory factory shot.

Get in while you still can.
Today an old automotive factory, tomorrow another café or furniture outlet for sure.
