Removing bearing

Hi guys.
Just a bit of guidance on how take bearing off the rear axle. Any help would be appreciated.

    Cut off the retaining ring and then press off the bearing. Unsure what else I can say unless you're having difficulty in shifting the bearing as they can be stubborn.

    You'll need to have the new ones pressed on anyway so head to a shop (unless you have a press) and have them do it. When re-installing make sure you slip the seal off before putting it through the brake backing plate, it's a tight fit and can pinch or cut them.

    Where abouts are you? Some of us forum members might have a good home workshop with a hydraulic press & offer to help you out!
    But 'Drewdog' is right, you need a press to fit the new bearing and collar without damage. And a press makes removal easy too.

    I've fitted them without a press & without damage. You just need the correct id & od steel pipe, so that you are only forcing on by the bearing inner ring. Use light oil to lube & also helps if you slightly heat up the bearing & collar in the kitchen oven.
