Hi, I've just joined up to the forum and am already amazed at the amount of knowledge contained in the forums, there are obviously members here that are extremely passionate about their vehicles. I live in SA and am the owner of a 1970 Capri that I have owned since 1982. The car was originally sold by Morley Ford in Vic. I bought it in WA from the second owner, my wife and I and the car moved to SA 9 years ago. I have felt a bit of a loner owning this car and it's brilliant to see other enthusiasts do exist!!I found the thread on the number of remaining V6 Capris fascinating, I know in England there is a way of finding out how many of a particular vehicle are registered, as Top Gear/Grand Tour have announced numbers of certain vehicles on the road. I think there is a website that provides that info.
Of the number of V6's on the road now how many are still in original, unmolested condition? Not many I would think.
I do have some requests for parts, perhaps these questions would be more appropriate on another forum within the site? I will perhaps start another thread for this.
Are there any other V6 owners in SA?
All the best, Tim

Hi, Yes I did neglect to mention mine is a V6, sorry about that. Reading the threads here I now know that mine must have been a delete option. It was diamond white with no stripes, black bonnet or bonnet pins, just the GT badges on the sides above the wheel arches. I have since painted it French Blue, not an original Capri colour but a Ford colour from the 80's and given it the black bonnet and stripes approx. 20 years ago. Wish now that I had left it original but didn't realize then how rare they would become. Love your car BEEVEE, what a rare find. Photos coming!!
