Capri, number by colours.

Hi All,
is there any data / stats available on how many capris were made in what colours?
To determine which are the rare colours etc.  just curious, cheers PSR.

I was lucky enough to get hold of the build numbers from a good friend from the Capri Club of NSW, but I'm afraid that most data from those days seems to have been lost. The late Adrian Ryan, a Ford employee, archivist and custodian of all things Ford Australia, had access to most everything that Ford had and even he was unable to find any extra breakdown of build information for our Australian assembled Mk.1 Capri's. Unless an ex-employee of the Homebush assembly plant managed to copy anything from those heady days, I'd say that we have only what we have, and that's it I'm afraid!  Terry Walsh

We can but hope that a Ford ex employee or their family member will one day find all the data we seek, hidden somewhere safe, and then hand it to someone who will share it with all Ford clubs ........... Dreams are for free !
