Capri V6 test trolley.

I've got three days off so I made a test bench yesterday. And today finished it with a motor. I had an issue with design but only minor regarding bell housing and extractors but 30 mins and it was sorted. My idea is run tune and make good motors I have sitting around. Then I had a beer and thought it could be more. So now I'm running full Capri loom to it so I can check gauges lights and fuel tank as well as dash gauges etc. I really enjoyed today.

    good job wiggy.
I'd reckon since you have all this spare time though a lick of paint on the bottom of that door wouldn't go astray!

That's the issue with my beautiful shed. Idiots built at the lowest level on the property so if it rains more that a trickle the shed floods. Digging 500m of plumbing will fix it but for now I have a sump pump to help out. The door will one day be replaced. I'm going to build it with a Capri wiring loom so that essentially any part can be checked before install. This will save so much hassle and heartache in the future. Watch this space for fire up of the first motor.

And it now works. Neighbors probably not happy though.

I can relate to the part about the neighbours - I ran my Escort up and down the driveway a few times on the weekend with a straight through exhaust. Some came out to see what the commotion was and had huge grins on their face when they saw the car running after all these years.

Prior to acquisition of an engine Dyno, I also had a test trolley for running in and tuning engines.  My trolley had in addition a gearbox (attached to the engine under tune) which the drove via a shaft another old V6 engine.  By selecting different gears, this allowed different loads on the engine under tune.

That sounds awesome John. I still want to send a motor or two to you for overhaul.
