PLEASE HELP RE GEARBOX CASTING 71 WG 7006 AC

Hi Guys
Would anyone know if its possible to fit this gearbox with my V6 Bell housing, and then fit to my GTV6 ?
Is this Box as strong or stronger ?  Are there going to be issues with tailshaft or selector hump hole or other worries?
Any comments much appreciated
BERNIE

    Bernie,

This box is based on the 4cyl capri/escort/cortina.  Not strong or robust enough for the torque of the V6.  Fitting wise:  Major work to bellhousing, gearbox mount forward by 50mm, longer tailshaft.  No gain for the pain!

What is the issue with the original V6 4 speed.
Can supply and rebuild these, supply MK2 4 speeds and Tremic T5 5 speed conversions.
    Regards
    John

    Thanks John,
knew it was too good to be an advantage! ....Happy in one way as I do want to keep car original, but felt that cost and availability of parts for the original box may be prohibitive.  It needs all new clips for the external rods, plus a Major Bearing Kit with all small parts like Synchros and Detents and Balk Rings. Might you know of an economic source other than Burtons UK ?
Any idea how much I should sell box for with 3 months warranty as I was told it is a very low mileage original.
    Cheers
    Bernie
