Leaf spring saddle plates

Hi All. What's the go with the saddle plates which go between the top spring bush and axle (on the extreme left and right below). I can't recall removing them from my original springs so are they needed? Regardless has anyone got a spare pair they don't need to suit Mk2?

The saddle plates are important. They provide location for the insulator dampers and leaf spring and axle housing as a unit.

All those components  in your pic are necessary for correct support and control of the Springs, and are ALL required to satisfy RWC requirements..............have no idea where spares might be found other than JR
