Capri By The Numbers - Decoding Sheets

Ok, here's my decoding sheets that I have been using for a number of years. They are separated into years as it was easier to contain all the information to just two sheets per year, otherwise it would have been a much larger and perhaps confusing collection of pages. Happy to accept any errors or comments as stated on each one. Terry

NOTE: I have replaced the documents for 1970, 1971 and 1972 to incorporate the correct codes for the front and rear spring settings under the headings RR. AX. and FT. AX.

The only thing that comes to mind at first glance are the front and rear axle codes.

OK, here's my Capri By The Numbers Sheets for the Mk.2 and the Mk.3 Capri's. Once again, I'm happy to hear from anyone who thinks that they might need change or updating.
NOTE: They are split due to the introduction of the VIN, it being introduced on 1 January, 1981.

OK, here's my Capri By The Numbers Sheets for the Consul Capri 335. Once again, I'm happy to hear from anyone who thinks that they might need changing or updating.
These models were available in the UK from September, 1961 through to July, 1964, and some have been imported over the years into both Australia and New Zealand.

So I sent ford an email with my vin number and they got back to me with how my Capri left the factory. Long story short it was 1 of 1. Its built in April 69 according the letter from ford, now looking the Capri by the number sheet from Foxy, it looks like my Capri was made in march, making it the first 1600GT made?

Yes, if it's CK17JM, which it is, then it's a 1969 March build. Now only one 1600GT was built in March 1969 and that's the one that you own. How do I know, because I've seen your ID Plate, CONGRATULATIONS Daniel!
