Looking good Paul. I was looking at a picture of the latest Caterham with a Duratec in it and noticed that rather than a "water rail" running from the back of the head and along the side, they'd just used a rubber hose?? Is this an option in your situation (I know it's not a Duratec, but is a similar set up, no)??

Hi Cam.
It's an option but as I'm going for the 100% factory look install my only real option is the Raceline item. A little pricey but they're about the only one which does not look like a tacked on after thought.
Cheers

Yes, the MAZDA can probably be removed with a little filing The next job Phil? Where do i start! Probably finish cleaning up the rear housing and fit up all the brake lines and then sort out the hand brake cables. There's always plenty to do regarding the engine install and rust repairs [:u] One day it will be finishd[:I]

Well, a minor advancement Inlet manifold - decided to use a 2.0L Focus item as it is approximately 30mm narrower to allow adequate clearance to the strut tower. The only major difference to sort is the lack of an EGR valve found on the Mondeo which I hope will not create an issue with the Mondeo ECU. I was hoping to get by with the original style mounts but unfortunately the inlet manifold fouls on the Xmember and will need the engine moved more than I'd like to the passenger side to clear - looks like it's a would cup style coming now! I have moved the engine forward approximately 15mm to allow sufficient room for the water rail etc This will still require the shifter position altered slightly and I also need to raise the area around the opening to allow the rear of the box to be raised as much as possible. Hoping to progress with the mounts and then onto modifying the original mondeo alloy sump to suit!

OK - another small step to modifying the original Xmember similar to a WCXM. I will need to have the mounts lower than the normal WCXM position as not to foul the inlet manifold. Spent a few hours turning up the sleaves to be welded into the Xmember uprights and purchased the bushes (Mk1 leaf spring eye items).
