Ok. Minor updates.
All suspension in, Simmons powder coated, fuel pump in and tank mounted. Also had a minor issue that had my front rims not mounting true on the alloy hubs. Machinist Mate added alloy spigots 👍

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Paul, but I think your missing something in the second shot!

hey paul. i am sure we talked about this but do you have enough room around you pump to get fuel lines in/out?
cant really tell from your photo how much real estate you have to work with.

Yes I hope so. Fuel line connections are below the level of the boot floor and the front of the tank will hang down maybe 20mm. I will need to find some dense foam to sandwich between boot floor and tank so I can tension up the tank straps.

Cheers

Paul

Hi mate this is an amazing thread.

Im interested in your ongoing conversion and how youll legally get this registered in SA. Ive got a coupe (no RS) that i would love to convert to Zetec but have been told its extremely unlikely due to the ability to not retain oem intake etc.

Assuming youll need to pass emissions and brake test for this?

Cheers

Small update.
Sump half completed due to the need to sort the oil pickup pipe. Had to make a custom elbow block as I had limited clearance between the oil pump outlet and sump. Extended the pipework and used the original Zetec pickup end. Sll made so I can retain the OEM windage tray.
Now that's done the sump can be finished and engine machining / assembly can begin.

Hard lines for fuel and rear brakes bent up and run. Decided to go with the LS1 filter which has an integrated fuel pressure regulator so I can run a dead-head system with only a single fuel line to the front. It's not maybe ideal for the ultimate fuel system but hoping it will suit my application. It's also overkill @ 3/8 but I could only find 3/16 and 3/8 combination saddles
Also people have asked about a cover for the hole in my boot floor to access the in-tank Falcon pump - I just used an OEM EB-EF Falcon cover and nutserts to secure to the floor.

Looking at running individual coil packs so I can do away with remote coil packs and igniter modules - still mapping out my adapter plate to secure the coils to the Zetec valve cover.

Further to my other reply I'm also using OEM nylon EFI fuel line and push-on fittings as AN6 fittings and hose requires more room to fit and I want the tank as high as possible. That said there is plenty of length on the original hanging points to give around 30mm of clearance if required.

I like the factory feel you have to your build Paul with the mods looking like they are surposed to be there.
