Hi from a new member ....

Hi,
I have been an avid reader of this forum  for the past few years and a Capri fan for decades.
I bought a GXL in 2013 while living in the UK and had it restored by Restore a Ford in the UK
and have just landed it here in Oz. Hope to contribute and have many questions ......

The mirrors are Australian spec. I preferred them to the various UK mirrors ..... It is a Mk1 facelift 1973.
Because it is  a GXL I can have 'the car I always promised myself' . The right shade of red etc... if it was
an RS couldn't change a thing!
I have all the GXL bits but not all on the car. The front bumpers are not permanent, just like the look.

Thanks guys, John I bought some D port heads & a valley off you late last year.
Here is my Mk1 in the eighties - it ended up with a 302 + C4 and a great car.
No  consideration  to keeping cars original back then. Sold it in the early 90's
and missed it every day - now happy again. Will post more photos ....
