Hi BeeVee I appreciate all and every bit of the advise. I bought a container for all the parts, I have an undercover area for the cars. I will ask a lot of questions. Cheers all

(not a lot of so-called mechanics, still can) .

That's why they call them technicians today, just plug in the computer and change the oil.  I was lucky enough to find an old school mechanic who did his apprenticeship at Ford when the capri came out.  He is the only bloke that I will allow anywhere near any of my cars.

Keep an eye out for a Haynes manual Mal.  There is also an OK book in the UK dedicated to capri restoration.  A bit basic but OK  https://www.bookdepository.com/Ford-Capri-Restoration-Manual-Kim-Henson/9781844251124

for me its been the little things thats been more of a problem to get gives you the ****s at times ..

then there are the ones who sell repo parts most of them sell you the part and have no idea if its correct or fits ..
i had to send back quite a few repo  parts that was poor quality  or didnt fit  like window rubbers was for a mk1 capri wouldnt go on tried for hrs on a job that would take 15 mins tops in the end i gave up sent it back and just cleaned my old ones up  and reused them

Hi Guys,
Thanks Cosworthfreak for your recent reply. I am trying to find out info myself and even downloaded a great little Vin decoder that works well.
However I filled the trailer with parts yesterday and came across a front strut support that had been drilled out to death (camber adjustment old school I am guessing). Its number on it is JB 1078 then either a P or B.
I can not decode or know can you help me again please.

Looks like it's from a 4cyl car. JB is 1600 auto, JA is 1600 manual.
