There'll also be bidding on the red one at Shannons, Sydney on the 6th of Feb. It's a 1970 one too, one month earlier and picture wise looks a cleaner one, complete with original air filter set-up. Except it's had a round headlight conversion and shouldn't have the reversing lights for 1970 build! SFE

PLZ send links ! ...........I've tried searching under FORD TWIN CAM ESCORT plus CAPRI plus CORTINA, and all I got was an Escort shell for $1000 !..................cannot find anything else !?

with still 5 days to go, and 78 bids I'm obviously in the minority, but to be honest i'm not sure if i'd put my hand up at $57K even if I had it.
Maybe it's the color, or that I'm tainted by my wifes 2 door 1300 we used to have that was traded in for $800 many moons ago, but at that price I'd be inclined to build my dream escort, like Matts doing with the Zacspeed.
Maybe something like a blue arched 2 door fast and furious style that was modified to stop, go and handle well.
Keep the 20k, and end up with a car you weren't afraid to use it either.
Stuff the investment side, you cant take it with you.:)
Each to their own, good to see there's the interest.

Well pointed out. Paint code is defo wrong. Maybe some members can shed some light on this. Mind you a shot twin cam in uk will still fetch £35k for a resto job....

Mate of mine sold his twin cam some years ago as he needed money badly. The guy who bought off him has never touched it since, has been sitting under a house for 15 years, his missus wont let him sell it for anything less than $4oK, it would probably take $20K to get it back in working order, bodywork etc. He sold it for about $9k at the time.

Trim colour should be black on the eBay escort, the shannons one has seen some track work and has the wrong rear 1/4 trims and wrong front seats also, have been watching the green machine with 5 days to go and 56k who knows where it will end up!
