side pin strips

Would like a couple of pictures of the side stripes on a MK1 V6, mainly the location around the GT badge and the where they end on the front fender. Is there any measurements or guidelines, or is it a eyeball job?
Cheers Mark

Have not put the stripes on yet, next week hopefully. the pictures in spuds reply post seem to be correct but as always that depends on who you talk to. The thin stripe is above the ridge, apparently the GT badge has the same space between the end of the thick strip (vertical) and the top of the thin stripe (horizontal) . Most of the real old cars that I have looked in the past month that have not been repainted appear to be almost identical to spuds pictures. Recon I will go about 1 and half inches from the front fender end.

Not all cars had factory fitted stripes, a lot were put on by the dealers hence the difference between cars

They never match, get a full set.  My newly acquired white one has a newer fitted front section and there is a marked color difference.

Back when I did my Capri, because there was no stripes about.
I just used XB GS stripe kit from GT Ford Performance & cut to fit-Easy.
Now you can buy kits off Ebay for Capri ready to stick.
If you need help, look online for pinstripe guys that Panel shops use they would be able to make up & supply and fit in most cases.

i tried sticking mine on today wasnt very easy
cant dry stick them or ya get to much air bubbles  need to spray fine mist of soapy water ..

also once you have them lined up trying to remove the back is bit  crapy they tend to move the thin stripe just want to stretch further than the thick one ... just hope they hold and stay on the panel
dont know if ya need to stick the thick one first then the thin one but its a bit of a challenge to do em same time

if these dont work think ill call the pinstriper to just cut and lay some out
