Are the TE rotors the same size, or close enough? I might get a set to compare.

DBA will sell undrilled rotors if something off a different car will match up.  I was going to do this excercise a few years ago but didnt finish off, the RS vented disks are not available in the UK anymore

Capri The car I always promised myself

Here is a scan of the DBA catalogue with the disc dimensions for Australian Capri, Cortina and Escorts for your reference.

They look pretty close, have you measured them to compare?

So their TE cortina rotors on Capri axles with Australian brake pads. Is that correct. The RS 3100 still used the same front shocks and brakes didn't it.

yes TE rotors but on Uk 3.0 capri axles - with normal capri pads. The RS used the bilstein strut/ UK 3.0 axles but with vented rotors. The calipers and pads all inter change

How does that differ from ours here? is it the whole shock tower or just the stub axle. And is the bilstein strut just a different diameter or shock strength.

stub axle, hub and rotor are different, shock is held in via a nut at the bottom of the tube - similar to the 2.8i (not a threaded cap as ours) - diameter of the tube is the same. A bit of negative camber...
the tube (only) on the one pictured (a 1973 3.0 Gt) is the same as aust delivered - threaded cap to hold the shock. Same as all UK delivered 3.0's

Cheers Spud. Sort of makes sense, although sounds like shocks for the 3100 would then be a nightmare to find as well as other parts.
