T5 conversion
a few pics of a T5 conversion I did. I used a dellow hydraulic clutch conversion and an XF Falcon T5 this pic shows the T5 with the Dellow bell housing: the bearing carriers on these chew out - so I replaced it with a steel one

offered it up - it clears the tunnel - totally - no cutting at all the following pic shows mis alignment of the gearbox mounting point / capri mounting point obviously the gearbox mounting point is way back from where you would like it to be. Note also access to the speedo cable - I drilled a hole and ran the speedo cable into the cabin - one of 2 holes ive drilled for this conversion

Does it matter what the T5 is out of and anyone know how this would go in a Mk1 Escort van?

Did you know Spud that the shifter would fit their perfectly. I mean its like its meant to be. Question though is the box you got what they call a world class box? If so what is it out of. Or where do you buy a world class box. Dellow told me best box is from XF to EL 6cyl falcon. Looking good

It's a non world class - but u can get world class boxes with the same over all measurements - the non world class will easily cope with a v6. No I didn't know where the shift would come out - trial and error - but couldn't have worked out better...

U would have t use the same box in an escort but I doubt it would clear a manual tunnel

So does that mean you have to change the extractors for the slave cylinder to miss or do you think you can get away with some sort of adapter bracket? Im liking the simplicity its great.

Still looks theirs a reasonable amount of room between bell housing and extractors in one of your photos.

I have test fitted one into my bubble arch mk1 , with auto tunnel and the sides have clearance but the top of the tunnel needs raising nearly 2in to clear at the stick ramping forward to the bulkhead. . I borrowed a Cossy T5 box and belhousing to fit behind the zetec .

I would steer toward the xf falcon style one - appear to be the "shortest" of the variants another pic of the rear mount - a bit clearer...

Whats the gearbox mount off. Or are you saying off an xf. Hope you didn't modify extractors with block hammer.
