No I'll keep it - maybe on club rego. Yes I have to clear all of the donor cars out - put them under tarps for the mo - so there's room to work on the resto ones. That ones in a good spot at the mo - put the wheels on, back the car trailor under it and drive it to the spray booth

stripped the bonnet back - holes had been drilled to accommodate bonnet pins - ills get rid of them. the front edge is rusty at points and has been hit, pushing the front edge back and down. ill remove reinstall the existing inner frame and replace the outer skin forward of the bulge with the front section of the 4cyl bonnet..

a nice, crisp bonnet - like the capri pictured!

This car is coming along nicely.
Do you use a mig or tig to weld the bonnet skins together spud?

Those bonnet latches look to be in a weird position. And is it that the bonnet came from the pastel blue car.

Tig welded it. Actually, it came up nice - I'll put some pics up soon.
Pastel blue? I call it blue ice - my facelift v6 is painted that colour - love it!

yes spuds lock position is in a pretty weird spot.
It is "blue Ice' correct again, and I do actually like it also, plus its the original color.

Spud is the underside frame of your bonnet mainly separate from the skin  in the centre bit?
Mine seemed like it should have had the outer skin and inner rails joined somewhere, you'd notice it when the bonnet twists if you picked it up from a corner.

My facelift v6 - great colour!

I'll have a look at the bonnet but the central sections of the inner frame was largely separate . Yes whoever drilled the holes for the bonnet pins was way off the mark
