Help ID this gearbox

G'day all, just after a bit of help to identify this gearbox that came with my Cortina. Has provision for hydraulic clutch, bellhousing has 113E prefix, box has 2824E

    Looks like a Cortina mk2 box.... Check the ratios as could be a GT box (1st gear to be 1.97:1, good luck!

    Same box as mine (type 3, 7/8th size shaft, 4 bolt alloy lid) 1969 GT cortina also prone to jumping out of top gear

    Thanks for that, did a test fit and it works with my console. Ordered a couple of seals, fingers crossed thats all it needs...

    No worries, i have the seal no's if you want to get them from your local bearing shop, i pay about $7 for the extension housing seal, and i have copies of all of the 1600 gaskets and type 3 boxes if you want to cut your own out, yeah,yeah, i know, my wife calls me a cheap **** also..........

    Thanks for the offer, got what I need for now, will make the top cover seal myself, got heaps of gasket material left over from my last build.
    Nothing wrong with being cheap, I'm on a pretty strict budget for this car...
