Few more pics. The plan is to get rid of the bubble completely and just leave the panel flat

Had brackets and spacers made out of stainless steel.  Just need to drill a few holes and weld the spacers to the brackets and front brakes all sorted.

This turned up today.  I'm becoming infatuated with Carbon Fibre.  It's a pity as it's really expensive and me wanty

I do love some carbon goodness. But yeah, shame its a bit on the expensive side. At least you get to look at the dash any time you're in the car. Am interested to see how that wiring kit goes together. Will be so nice not having to deal with dirty old bodged wires.

Keep the pics coming, am enjoying watching this one :)

Been a bit slower than anticipated but things have been moving along steadily

More rust has been found and cut out. The seat cross members have been removed and we plan to use cross bracing off the roll cage to the transmission tunnel to mount the seat off to maintain the rigidity.  The new floor pans will be welded in this week hopefully so work on the roll cage can begin.

I decided my home made caliper bracket is crap and as I have plans to get the car engineered I need something better.  So I have had this made up which should do the job.

I'm also looking at ways to future proof the car so i decided to go down the Hilux axle route.  Race Products in QLD are currently building me this work of art.  It's got fully floating axles and KAAZ LSD and 4.44 ratio so down the track when I go turbo Duratec it'll cope no problems.  I'm undecided on the Watts Link though...

Just a few other bits and pieces have turned up

THat's all for now but hopefully the body work can begin soon and we can get it going soon

Hey Matt, any particular reason you choose the 21 EZ wiring kit over the others on offer?

NISROLA - 1976 KE30 Two Door

BUZ440 - 1966 Mk1 Cortina

Hi Buzz,

There is very little difference in these as they all seem to be pretty much the same.  I went the 21 circuit as have gone for an electric heater and I wanted to have more options for the Power steering, heated windscreen, fuel pumps, thermo fans etc...

What circuits are not used will just be rolled up under the dash and potentially used in the future when I move to a turbo duratec or similar

Cheers

Matt
