Escort MK2 unknown edition info required

Hi all I just bought my first Escort MK2 Coupe.  It has an unusual paint scheme, navy blue on the top half, White on the bottom half with a red and orange pin stripe in the centre.  Mr Whooligan asays it could be an "Getaway" or similar.  Its a 1978 1.6GL.  Any info appreciated
 
Seats and door trims are light tan but carpet is Black.  Is this correct (it needs replacing badly just wanting to get the correct colour).

    Microfiche parts list shows red & orange stripes on a limited edition model called "promotional pack" available as 2 or 4 door.
    The only information shown is the part numbers for the stripes.
    For paint and trim I guess you would just use the letters on the ID plate.

    There's nothing in the promotional catalogs of the time either.  I only recall seeing them with blue/white and green/white colour combinations. 

    WTB: Recaro seat - any condition considered

    Oh, and that interior is all original GL spec.  I recommend getting hold of a glovebox to put in place of the tray; they look better and are a very useful size and shape.

    Reminds me of the John Goss falcons, they were a '75 model though so that'd be way off... Good luck with it, would be a worthy car to restore as an original... Funny the conversation has gone back to the good old Capri's, with my project coming to an end I'm looking for a new one, theres Escort and Cortina in the garage at the moment, a nice GT Capri would finish fill the last spot nicely, haha maybe a changing of the guards all around...

    For many years a mate owned from brand new a 2 door GL Escort with similar dark blue painted to the body line and silver below the body line. Vaguely recollect it had one thin dark blue stripe approx 10mm wide. It was a neat looking car.
