I will keep them coming. Seems attaching pics has gotten easier somehow (or I'm grey now not blonde)

Sorry but still missing two. One you will love but hate to love it and the other when I bought it off eBay I just tried being a dick and raised the price by 50 bucks low and behold on that Friday night with happy drinks with the misses I won it. Needless to say deal is a deal went through with it. Funny thing was the wine glass my misses was drinking from became a weapon. Don't quite know what I did wrong though.

A pic of my newest Capri. Vinyl roof Diamond white Auto V6. Matching numbers car stored for a very long time but originally from Heaths motors Geelong. Got her home and within 15 mins of trying she started and started first go. It's the brown one on the right not the the white one. Plan for this one is to fix the dents take some minimal rust, spray it and drive it. Looking to put a manual in it but keep the auto to turn it back if required. Keith

Not knowing where and how to post in the right sections I will post here. Question about front stone tray/valance/front bottom sections of Capri I am looking expressed steel panels they have it as font valance but it's $$£683 plus delivery. They also list a budget valance at only 186 pounds which sounds attractive but there is no pic. I have sent emails waiting for reply. Can or does anyone know the differences. ?

So now I've got this Brown Capri ( the wife named it Boris not happy with that) she seems almost rust free, so I've organized after some time with no response with my other cars a proper craftsman to work on my cars. It will cost me but after doing many Escorts and Cortinas and me harrasing and being next door with other machinery I've convinced him to do my Capris. This is Jim from John Newell smash repairs in South Windsor. I see his work all the time but it's taken two years to convince him to attack my Capris so here we go. I'll pull the motor attack a slight amount of rust and give it to him. Problem with the car is just a few dents in the roof and badly flared guards front and rear.

I picked up a roof I bought that Stefan(spud) kindly took to his house from Vic and stored for me last week. It was great to meet him but time was against both of us. Here it is on top of were it will go. Same color as the car so was meant to be. Enjoy

I'm thinking keeping it that way. If I weld it on its extra strength and insulation. Stronger than original maybe with some caravan Windows and a modern moon roof like a Merc has. Like to see an engineer knock me back on it. But only joking it will be replaced properly. But like the idea of a Capri camper.

So I finally spent the weekend on the Perana and she drives again. For me a novice with interaccy on different setups and absolutely no info as Whools would understand on what stock should be( very protected info) it's a 302 in a Capri done over and over again but it's a Perana so it has to be made for me with original or new same stock to be right. My problem has been cooling and clutch problems. I've driven it maybe 20 times and there has always been issues. Last time I drove it with family in tow the clamp that keeps the brake and clutch pedal in the massive pin fell off which meant I lost all clutch pedal and close to no Brakes which took two hours on the side of the road to fix near wisemans ferry and scared the living shxxt out of me. I have sort Of fixed the clutch probs with a master cylinder push rod for a clutch from a falcon and a cheap clutch master cylinder but bleeding to get it right saw brake fluid after I tried to remove the new one go all over the fire wall which if any one remembers my Perana ruined the White Capris bonnet leaking it's clutch fluid over two year agos xmas break. So really I hate hydraulic clutches but can't do without it. Got it up and running to find the thermostat cover bolt Is threaded and won't screw up. **** It's a beautiful car and seems to be saying look at me but don't drive me I am too rare. My car was 20 to 40 mins north of Hornsby but at my house so can't say it's the Perana seen but would like to compare mine with someone else's one day.

I'm regulary on African muscle cars forum which helped me authenticate my Perana and also showed me threads of who bought it in S.A but also a big drive that five Peranas took of which mine was one. I will find the pics and post them somehow. Problem is though with so few people faking them which replicating is a great thing Whools but over there and even over here scams are rife. So the true build is never discussed and the intracale things made public. Have never cracked the forum code with these guys really as I own one of there cars and they don't like loosing them which is understandable not useful to me. Also South Africa has great forums for escorts Cortinas and Capris at Rs owners club or forum. Over there it's crazy. Keith

And you had the Cortina Perana Mk2 and 3 or mk1 as well with a V6 Essex fitted. And a few of these are here in Oz. African muscle cars forum and the Rs owners forum are a treat to read. I do remember something regarding the Escort with I think the first Pinto from Basil Green Perana motors. South Africa is stunning for cars with V8 4wd Cortinas made from factory to the mighty Xy,Xw Gt's as the same car from Oz but sold as Fairmonts. Keith

And now pics of the V6 attempted v8 conversion I bought. I will return it back to V6 but showing how someone butchered the radiator support. Will use the support from Spud to fix this one. Cheers Spud
